Alex Essig joined Heritage Group in 2026 and serves as a Senior Associate for the firm. Before joining Heritage, Alex was the M&A Growth & Value Creation Lead at Innovaccer, a ~$3.5B value-based care software company, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, financial strategy, and post-acquisition value creation. Prior to Innovaccer, Alex was an Associate at SAI Group, an AI-enabled enterprise software buyout firm backed by a $1B commitment from principal owner Dr. Romesh Wadhwani, where he evaluated and executed control investments. Earlier in his career, he was an Associate in the Healthcare Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs, where he worked on a wide range of strategic and cross-border M&A transactions, equity and debt issuances, activism and raid defenses, and financial sponsor-related transactions.
Alex graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. from Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs. He resides in Nashville.
