David McClellan

Co-Founder

David McClellan co-founded Heritage Group in 1986. Over the past 30 years, David has served in numerous executive positions within Heritage Group’s portfolio of companies.

In addition to his other activities, David functioned in a corporate development role for several of the Heritage portfolio companies including Sourcemark, LLC and Theralogix, LLC. From 1995-1998, he served as founder and CEO of ProSeed, LLC, which partnered with hospitals, radiation oncologists and urologists throughout the US to launch prostate brachytherapy centers. The company was acquired by a public company in 2002. From 1992-1995, David served as VP of Development for Surgical Health Corporation, a company engaged in the development and management of outpatient surgery centers. After acquiring and developing 37 ambulatory surgery centers in the US, the company was acquired by a public company in 1998. From 1986-1991, McClellan and Morphis developed and/or managed more than 50 physician/hospital outpatient ventures involving over 5,000 physician investors encompassing a wide array of surgical, diagnostic and therapeutic technologies.

David holds a BS degree from the University of Tennessee and a Masters Degree in Hospital and Health Administration from the Medical College of Virginia. He began his healthcare career as an associate administrator with Hospital Corporation of America in 1983. He resides in Nashville with his wife and three children.
