Jonathan Low

Meharry - Heritage Fellow

Jonathan Low is a medical student at Meharry Medical College and co-founder of Centro Health Solutions, a HealthTech company focused on improving chronic care management in underserved communities. He graduated from Anderson University with honors in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, becoming the first African American to earn the degree. He later pursued advanced Biomedical Sciences through a joint program with Bluefield College and the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

At Meharry, Jonathan is mentored by Dr. Michael Caldwell, Associate VP of Vaccine Research & Education, working on projects in vaccine equity and healthcare access. He has received multiple research grants, including the Ernest E. Just Award for Excellence in Research. His work spans cancer biology, public health, and health equity, with a focus on addressing disparities in African American and Hispanic communities.

Jonathan actively contributes to Project C.U.R.E., serves as a Dry January USA student ambassador, and collaborates with ABC News on healthcare advocacy. He plans to continue leading Centro Health Solutions while shaping policy and expanding healthcare access globally.
