Shanice Cheatham is a Presidential Fellow at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. She graduated from Kent State University with her Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology in 2013 and her Master of Public Health in Health Policy & Management in 2021.
As a Presidential Fellow, Shanice works with Dr. James E.K. Hildreth on major projects of the Meharry Medical College to build leadership skills, as well as to help the college realize their 10-year strategic plan.
Shanice served as the inaugural Meharry – Heritage Fellow in the program designed to diversify the entrepreneurial landscape and pave the way for the next generation of minority business owners. During her tenure, she learned to apply healthcare finance principles to business plan development for her company, Endemic Solutions.
Shanice plans to continue pursuing her business while training to become a trauma surgeon and creating a global health surgery center for underserved communities.
