Tim Hingtgen is an accomplished healthcare executive with a track record of developing successful healthcare networks, improving safety and quality outcomes and optimizing health system operations. Hingtgen recently retired from his role as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Community Health Systems (CHS), a publicly traded company listed on the NYSE and one of the nation’s leading providers of healthcare services. CHS operates healthcare systems across the nation with approximately 70 acute care hospitals and more than 1,000 outpatient sites of care, including ambulatory surgery centers, freestanding ERs, urgent care centers, cancer centers, and physician practices.
During his nearly two-decade tenure in executive leadership roles at CHS, Hingtgen championed quality patient care, built initiatives to support the CHS workforce, embraced emerging technologies, and advanced innovative solutions to address today’s most pressing healthcare issues and opportunities.
Hingtgen has served on the Boards of the Federation of American Hospitals, Coalition to Strengthen America’s Healthcare, and the Nashville Health Care Council. He has been listed as one of the Most Influential People in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare multiple times.
